The Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) is a learned society concerned specifically with the planning, design, construction, maintenance and operation of land-based transport systems and infrastructure.
With over 12,000 members, CIHT offers routes to qualifications such as Chartered and Incorporated Engineer status and also Transport Planning Professional. CIHT is dedicated to providing support and networking opportunities to members with a calendar of cutting edge technical seminars and conferences, and exciting social events.

Residential Parking gets improved guidance
The Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) and The Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE) have launched a new guidance note for residential parking aimed at professionals working in the highways and transport industry.
The new note offers those working in the planning, design and delivery of parking provision with the most up to date good practice residential parking guidance.
