The Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) is a learned society concerned specifically with the planning, design, construction, maintenance and operation of land-based transport systems and infrastructure.
With over 12,000 members, CIHT offers routes to qualifications such as Chartered and Incorporated Engineer status and also Transport Planning Professional. CIHT is dedicated to providing support and networking opportunities to members with a calendar of cutting edge technical seminars and conferences, and exciting social events.
National Science & Engineering Week
National Science and Engineering Week takes the nation by storm with hundreds of events and activities from 12 to 21 March 2010. This year the theme is 'Earth', in support of International Year of Biodiversity.
CIHT will be featuring in The Big Bang fair in Manchester, representing the industry and engaging with young people. The fair features exhibitions, seminars, competitions and interactive workshops to show students how science and engineering affects technological development, environment and society as a whole.
