The Membership Board undertakes a varied role in overseeing all business that relates to membership of the Institution. This includes acting on behalf of Council in respect of membership applications.

Primary objectives:

• review and consider applications for membership and make recommendations to council regarding elections
• review membership criteria as necessary
• promote and monitor Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
• maintain a register of members
• advise Institution members on upgrading and transferring their membership
• review the process for the administration of membership and subscriptions and recommend improvements as necessary
• oversee and develop the Institution's disciplines and ethics activities
• develop the Corporate Partners Scheme
