Procurement & Delivery Board

img_PandD The Procurement and Delivery Board has been established to develop and promote best practice in transport procurement and all aspects of the delivery of Highways and Transportation Services. To collate and disseminate knowledge concerning salient issues and developments in the institutional, funding and delivery arrangements for transport infrastructure and services, including; 

  • Defining scope of services within a strategic context
  • Options Appraisal
  • Funding
  • Risk Allocation and Contract Selection
  • Capability and Capacity of Suppliers
  • Delivery of Outcomes
  • Contract Management and Continuous Improvement

 

Primary objectives: 

  • advise the CIHT Executive Board of issues that should be raised with Government and other relevant bodies
  • develop greater awareness by CIHT members of the value of both traditional and innovative processes of funding and procurement
  • develop, manage and deliver an outcome focused business plan
  • work in cooperation with other CIHT Boards and panels to meet the first three objectives
