CIHT’s Presidential Team consists of the President and three Vice-Presidents. These are all members of the Executive Board.  The Executive Board are the Trustees and Company Directors of the Institution, as well as containing the Presidential Team,  membership comprises the Immediate Past President, Honorary Treasurer and up to eight Council Members (but usually limited to the six Board Chairs).

As Trustees, the Executive Board must ensure that the affairs of the Institution are kept in good order, and legal and statutory obligations are fulfilled. They are responsible for controlling the management and the administration of the Institution and, if negligent, are personally liable. As the Institution is a company limited by guarantee, the Executive Board are also Company Directors. Every Company Director has a personal responsibility to ensure that statutory documents and accounts, are produced and submitted on time to Companies House.
