Facing the challenges, easing congestion and delivering meaningful transport projects
The focus of next year’s CIHT conference looks at the challenges which face planning and transport professionals in integrating transport and land use, easing congestion and delivering large infrastructural projects. The conference will focus on three strands:
Strand 1 – Focus on Public Transport and Strategies
Strand 2 – Road Projects and Maintenance
Strand 3 – Panel discussion "sharing road space, pedestrian, cyclists, public transport and private vehicles"
The panel discussion will look at the future of road space; the panel members will be from the worlds of academia, public sector, consultancy, cycle advocacy groups and business. The purpose of the discussion will be to identify solutions and encourage alternative and imaginative new ideas and broadening our thinking.
This conference is a forum for the exchange and dissemination of technical advances as well as exchanges of experiences and ideas among engineers, planners, academics, researchers, developers, regulatory agents and project managers.
The Conference will take place in early 2018. Further details to follow soon.
