Counter-terrorism Design: BSI PAS 68 & Hostile Vehicle Mitigation

Eian Nelson - Business Development Manager (PAS68 Systems), Marshalls

17th May 2012 – 5.30pm for 6pm (duration approx. 1½ hours)

Halcrow, 16 Abercromby Place, Edinburgh, EH3 6LB

Following events in recent years, the threat of international terrorism has risen to unprecedented levels. A key element of the government’s strategy to combat these threats is to strengthen the UK’s physical protection against vehicle-borne attacks through encouraging the early adoption of counter-terrorism principles in the design and planning process. This seminar introduces the threats and potential solutions, focusing on hostile vehicle mitigation and the BSI PAS 68 standard for vehicle security barriers. The seminar highlights the key considerations in counter-terrorism design and how protective measures can be incorporated into landscapes without compromising design quality.

Those attending may claim CPD – a certificate will be issued following the event.  To register your interest, or for further information, please contact: Richard Perry (richard.perry@grontmij.co.uk or 0141 414 1700)
