In 2001/2002 the East Anglian Branch celebrated its 50th Anniversary.

 

Peter Deavin, who passed away in 2007, was a Past President of the Institution and has witnessed many celebrations over the years.

 

We have a very lively and friendly Branch with well attended and varied meetings on a large range of highways related topics. We also have an active golf team which competes at every opportunity, often winning trophies.

 

Each year, at our AGM, a guest speaker from a non-highways related profession is invited to share experiences and anecdotes from their field. Members and their guests appreciate this less formal meeting for a chance to network and make new acquaintances, and to see how the other half live!

 

Recently, our Branch has been much enhanced by the addition of the Essex members of the Institution, taking our membership to just over 400. We look forward to serving them with continued vigour and enthusiasm.

 

We always welcome new and potential members and are interested in hearing from anyone wishing to serve on the Committee.
