
The North Eastern Branch covers Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, Durham and Cleveland. Established in 1952 the Branch has a membership of about 480 concentrated in Tyneside but well represented throughout Northumberland, Durham and Teesside. More details of the Branch History can be found here:
The Branch Committee is made up of representatives from local authorities, local universities, contractors and consulting engineers across the north east. More details of the Committee Members can be found here:
Each year the Branch usually presents two seminars and a programme of up to six technical meetings on a range of subjects. Typically meetings are held in Durham County Hall and Gateshead Civic Centre with occasional visits to other local venues. From time to time, the Branch also conducts joint technical meetings with other institutions such as the ICE, CILT, IAT and TPS. More details of our Branch Programme can be found here:
