About us

The North Eastern Branch covers Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, Durham and Cleveland. Established in 1952 the Branch has a membership of over 500 and recently celebrated its Diamond Jubilee anniversary.
The Branch Committee is made up of representatives from local authorities,  universities, contractors and consulting engineers across the north east. A Young Professionals sub-committee also meets regularly to plan branch activities in support of those in the early stages of their career.
The Branch holds a full programme of events, including full and half day seminars, and evening presentations. The Annual Dinner is a key event on the social calendar and others such as the annual quiz, golf competition and cycle ride take place throughout the year.
