Annual Dinner 2009
The IHT Northern Branch, under the Chairmanship of Jane Hunter, held its 2009 Annual Dinner once again at Shap Wells Hotel in Cumbria.
Some 165 members and guests from across Cumbria, North Lancashire and the North East assembled for their annual get together and opportunity to renew acquaintances into the early hours.
The Toast to the Institution was proposed by Simon Crawshaw, Director of Communications NW with reply by David Tarrant, the President of the Institution.
Following a short interval in proceedings, the Northern Branch Chair, Jane Hunter provided some critical observations on the current recession and industry impact before proposing the toast to the guests.
The guest speaker Martin Gould who very royally entertained the assembly made the reply of behalf of the Guests.
Networking and socialising continued until 0540hrs long after this writer retired. Yet again the Branch hosted a very successful event.
