Welcome to the CIHT Scotland website. In 2015, CIHT’s 18 UK Branches were restructured to 12 Regions to match the boundaries of the Devolved Nations and the English Regions. On Tuesday 5th May 2015 the Central and Southern Scotland and the North of Scotland Branches merged to become CIHT Scotland.
With over 1200 members located across Scotland, CIHT Scotland exists to support you in your career development, to highlight and share best practice in transport planning and engineering in Scotland and to offer networking opportunities.
The CIHT Scotland Committee will be hosting our AGM on the 24th May 2018 from 5pm. The meeting will be hosted in the Mott Macdonald Glasgow Office, 5th Floor, St Vincent Plaza, 319 St Vincent Street, Glasgow, G2 5LD.

On May 17th 2017, the Scotland Regional Qualifying event for the COLAS Awards 2017 took place at the University of Strathclyde. Congratulations to all who took part including Jamie Green who won 2nd prize for his presentation on George Best City Airport in Belfast and to Clare McTigue for her presentation on Bus Policy. Our winner this year, who will represent the Scotland Region at the National COLAS Awards in November, was Adrian Garcia Thorpe. His presentation on the hazards of smartphone use for pedestrians was particulaly eye-opening.
Thank you to everyone who came along to last week’s CIHT / RICS and GIA Networking event, special thanks to the CIHT Scotland sponsor Tracsis.
