Debate 23 February 2011 that without High Speed Rail South Wales will be economically uncompetitive

To be held from 6 pm in Committee Rooms 1 and 2 of the Glamorgan Building, Cardiff University, King Edward VII Avenue, Cardiff CF10 3WA 

Professor Stuart Cole will open the debate and Professor Stephen Glaister will give the opposing view.

The programme will be as follows:

6.00 - 6.25 pm - refreshments in Committee Room 2
6.25 - 6.30 pm - introductions and outline of the debate by Anthony Morgan, Branch Chairman, in Committee Room 1
6.3- 6.50 pm - the case for High Speed Rail, by Professor Stuart Cole
6.50 - 7.10 pm - the opposing view, by Professor Stephen Glaister
7.10 - 7.50 pm - discussion and vote
7.50 pm - disperse.
