Park and Ride facility on A48 Eastern Avenue

 

The talk on Park and Ride took place at the ICE Wales Cymru Office Cardiff after the Annual General meeting

Pat Thompson of Cardiff City Council set the scene with a presentation on the broader principles of Park and Ride.

Peter Evans, Head of Contracts with Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Ltd described the Cardiff East Park and Ride facility.

 

 

 

 

The Cardiff East Park and Ride facility is intended to attract vehicles from the east.  It is located between the A48 and the River Rhymney, accessed from the Pentwyn Interchange of Eastern Avenue.  The facility offers a high quality, secure park and ride site with frequent buses operating to and from the city centre. The site includes an amenity building with toilet facilities.  The construction work included the main access road off the A48 via Pentwyn Interchange, earthworks, flood compensation measures new service connections and CCTV installation.
