The A470 Cwmbach to Newbridge scheme is 5.8km in length and comprises a new single carriageway road between a point approximately 2km north west of Builth Wells and the southern limit of Newbridge-on-Wye.

 

 

 

The road will have a carriageway width of 7.3m with three significant structures along its length, including crossing two rivers, the Heart of Wales Railway and the existing A470.
