For my first duty as Branch Chairman, and on behalf of the members and committee of the South Wales Branch, I would like to sincerely thank Anthony for the contribution he has made during his tenure as  our Chairman.

It is evident from the various reports that have been tabled this afternoon that, under Anthony’s leadership, and with the continued support of the Members, Committee and Officers, the Branch has achieved a great deal in the last 2 years particularly, as we have heard, in relation to the increase in our membership numbers.

The difficult economic environment in which we find ourselves will inevitably lead to  further financial challenges for our businesses and the Institution, but I trust you will agree that Anthony has left the South Wales Branch in excellent shape to deal with these issues.

So Anthony, thank you for your committment and hard work,  for your support in my role as Vice Chairman and, perhaps most importantly, for being at all times an ambassador for our Institution.
