One of the highlight of the SW Branch calendar is the annual dinner held each year in Exeter. A separate annual seminar is also held later in the year.

Our Young Members Groups in Bristol and Exeter are active in promoting both technical and social events, which provide excellent networking opportunities for our young professionals.

With such a wide range of backgrounds, it is important that the Branch programme of events reflects the variety of members’ interests. Future ideas to be progressed include:

• Infrastructure funding
• Climate change and evolved pavements
• Traffic control centres
   
• Managed motorway systems

Because of the size of the area covered, our events are held at various locations including Plymouth, Exeter, Taunton, Dorchester, Bristol and Gloucester. Afternoon and evening seminars are becoming more popular for professionals with ever-increasing workloads, so we try to provide a good selection of these, along with full day technical seminars.
