The Thames & Chilterns Branch area encompasses the counties of Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. Established in 1957, the Branch has since grown to a membership in excess of 720 across the four counties. As a branch, we aim to provide support and networking opportunities for those members through a calendar of technical seminars and conferences, and exciting social events.
A programme of evening meetings is run thought out the year, which aim to cover a wide range of topics reflecting the diversity of professional disciplines within the branch membership. Joint meetings are run with the ICE, CILT and IHE, and a full day seminaris usually organised oncea year in the summer.
On the social side, the highlight of the year is the annual dinner dance. Held each autumn, it has proved a highly popular event to which we are usually delighted to welcome the President and Chief Executive of the Institution. Other regular social events are run thoroughout the year ranging from pub quizzes to day trips. We also enthusiastically turn out a team every year for the Institution’s Locan Cup golf tournament, which we were proud to organise in 2010.
Details of all our events can be found on the forthcoming events page, the CIHT website and our newly established LinkedIn group page.
