CIHT Careers Toolkit

 
Careers ToolkitThe CIHT Careers Toolkit is an interactive toolkit designed to attract young people into careers in highways & transportation.  
 
The aim of the toolkit is to be a resource for CIHT Ambassadors when visiting primary schools, secondary schools, colleges, universities and careers fairs. The toolkit was developed with a grant received from the Rees Jeffreys Road Fund.  The toolkit has been endorsed by the Department for Transport.

  1. What is the CIHT Careers Toolkit?

    It is a set of interactive materials designed to be used in Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, Colleges and Universities to showcase careers in transport.

  2. How was the CIHT Careers Toolkit developed?
    The contents and design were developed by CIHT’s Careers Material Steering Group in collaboration with Think Up and Thomas.Matthews.

    The Department for Transport’s Transport Infrastructure Skills Strategy highlights current skills shortages in the industry and the need to attract young people from all backgrounds into careers in transport. CIHT’s Toolkit is helping to meet this challenge.
