Becoming a Chartered (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) guarantees global professional recognition and the opportunity to work anywhere in the world.
High status is attached to the CEng and IEng qualifications – they are a measure of your skills and professionalism in the engineering community as well as showing your dedication to personal development. Achieving this professional peer recognition may be more straightforward than you think.
The first stage in the application process is to submit an applicaton for initial assessment. This will enable CIHT to advise you fully regarding the route that you should take to obtaining the qualification. A CIHT member who is recognised as a professional engineer in another EU state may be eligible to progress to professional registration in the UK under European Directive 2005/36/EC.
