The 2011 conference was held on Thursday 15 September 2011 and looked at the challenges affecting the highways and transportation industry, with particular reference to economic, political, environmental and technological change.
With the theme ‘Adapting to Change’, a number of high profile speakers from within and outside the profession presented their views on the challenges
facing the industry. The conference consisted of a number of presentations followed by plenary discussions. There was lively debate at the end of each session.

Conference:
The conference took place within the University of Sussex Campus within the conference centre of Bramber House . The University campus is located adjacent to the A27, but is also easily accessible by public transport. The nearest railway station is Falmer station (9 minutes via Brighton station) and regular bus services operate into the campus from the city centre.
