speakers; Martin Low & Peter Heath, City of Westminster,
Mahmood Siddiqi Head of Traffic and Transportation Policy RBKC and Stuart Reid from MVA

‘Shared space’ is a term that means different things to different people and it is increasingly making the headlines. The speakers from the two London Authorities will relate their experiences of driving major public realm schemes on Oxford Circus and Exhibition Road which are both  innovative and unconventional. Schemes such as these require a disproportionate amount of research and consultation. Peter Heath will present some of the design challenges that had to be overcome in Oxford Street, while Stuart Reid will discuss the ambitious DfT study into the appraisal of shared space that is currently being developed.
