Jo Lumb, Head of Events, Wembley StadiumJo started work at Wembley Stadium in autumn 2005 and was part of the team that opened the Stadium. Jo now has responsibility for the delivery of all events within the Stadium bowl, as well as managing the FA Events team, who deliver events at Wembley and other Stadia across England

Wembley Stadium hosts circa 1.5 million football and rugby fans every year and   is the home ground for the Men’s England Senior Football Squad, all Football Association finals and Rugby Union and National Football League. Besides its sporting remit, is also has important roles as UK’s leading venue for music concerts with a choice of stage locations to bring fans as close as possible to the stage and a sound system that reduces the amount of noise ‘spillage’ from the stadium.
The success of the Stadium is reflected in the large volume of fans and the corresponding demand on the transport infrastructure. This additional demand during Event Days will compete with existing needs of the various communities: business and residents. Wembley Stadium has a comprehensive provision of transport infrastructure via road and rail, buses, coaches, trains and tubes, and cars.
Phil Rankmore will provide us an overview of history of the planning process of Wembley Stadium including planning application.

Jo Lumb will give us a detailed presentation of the events planning, management, operations process together with integration with public transport services/facilities and ticketing including lessons learnt (Wembley Stadium).
