The UK Roads Leadership Group (UKRLG) brings together national and local government from across the UK to consider roads infrastructure engineering and operations matters.

The World Road Association (WRA) of the United Kingdom (UK) is a separate, but affiliated organisation, representing the interests of the World Road Association (previously known as PIARC) in the UK.
There are currently around 100 members, made up of individuals and organisation from across the road transport sector. These include the UK government,
the construction industry, local highway authorities, research institutions and retired professionals. Common to all members is an interest in roads or road transport.
One of the principal roles of the WRA UK is to disseminate information from
the international organisation to the UK. It also supports developing countries by sharing UK expertise and supporting attendance at international committees.

The Transport Planning Society (TPS) facilitates, develops and promotes best practice in transport planning and provides a focus for dialogue between all those engaged in it, whatever their background or other professional affiliation.

Work on developing the UK Motorway system, which transformed British travel, started in the mid-1950s. The Motorway Archive celebrates the engineering achievement involved in the conception, planning, design and construction of this transport network by many dedicated professionals.
The Archive itself is a vast collection of information and artefacts relating to the development of the UK's motorway infrastructure.
The Motorway Archive Trust provides access to the story of each motorway developed in Britain over the last 50 years and to the full archive collection, either directly or indirectly, for teaching and research purposes or for those who simply have an interest in the subject.

The Transport Research Board (TRB) is one of six major divisions of the US National Research Council— a private, nonprofit institution that is the principal operating agency of the National Academies in providing services to the government, the public, and the scientific and engineering communities.
The National Research Council is jointly administered by the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, and the Institute of Medicine. TRB’s varied activities—described below—annually engage more than 7,000 engineers, scientists, and other transportation researchers and practitioners from the public and private sectors and academia, all of whom contribute their expertise in the public interest by participating on TRB committees, panels, and task forces.
The program is supported by state transportation departments, federal agencies including the component administrations of the U.S. Department of Transportation, and other organizations and individuals interested in the development of transportation.
TRB MISSION - The mission of the Transportation Research Board is to provide leadership in transportation innovation and progress through research and information exchange, conducted within a setting that is objective, interdisciplinary, and multimodal.

BSI is the UK's National Standards Body (NSB). BSI represent UK economic and social interests across all European and international standards organisations. BSI’s Standards Development portal contains information on all of the standards and proposed standards with which BSI are involved.
BSI has recently launched a public online system where new work proposals are accessible for wider view and comment. This is designed to increase awareness of the Standards Development Portfolio.
Britpave, the British Cementitious Paving Association, is the industry focal point for the development and promotion concrete and insitu-cementitious infrastructure solutions. Britpave produce a number of publications, many of which are used by the industry at large and which have been developed through their involvement with clients. Their website includes drop menus for technical publications on roads, airfields, busways, sustainable construction, slipformed drainage, etc.

The RSTA aims to raise awareness of the range and benefits of road surface treatments. The Association promotes workforce competence and professionalism; encourages product and process innovation; champions safe working, sustainability and best practice.
RSTA members include national and local contracting companies, local authority direct labour organizations, material and equipment suppliers. RSTA members are encouraged to register with National Highway Sector Scheme 13 or HAPAS or equivalent Product Certification and Approved Installer Schemes as appropriate. RSTA is recognised by the National Highway Sector Scheme as being the only route through which members’ operatives and supervisors can obtain endorsed CSCS cards as demanded by Sector Scheme 13.
