Don't miss CIHT's Annual Conference next month
The CIHT Annual Conference, taking place on Thursday 2 March in London,  is a not to be missed event. There are just a few weeks left to book your place.

Take a look at what the day has to offer.

Breakfast Briefing

CIHT’s innovative approach to conferences continues this year with the introduction of a Breakfast Briefing from Melanie Clark of Highways England who will outline the changes they have made and will make to improve the services they deliver to customers – a must for any delegate who needs to understand how the sectors approach is changing on one of our key networks.

In the morning...

Our popular Conference Interview will see Sue Percy on stage with Peter Antolik from ORR and Linda McCord from Transport Focus. Hear what these key organisations have to say about how they are working with Highways England to change how the sector delivers services and the lessons they bring from the rail and passenger transport sectors into Highways.

These first two sessions will give everyone a key perspective on the biggest change in the highways sector and what it will mean in 2017.

Our major plenary session in the morning brings together five key figures from the sector across the UK to talk about the issues they need to solve in 2017 and beyond – facilitated by Steve Gooding from the RAC Foundation this is a must hear session for those involved in providing services in the devolved arrangements across the UK, what do the people leading the sector need to do and how can the sector help them?

And in the afternoon...

Our key plenary focuses on how the way we work is changing, particularly from a viewpoint of how we use technology. A combination of government, providers and lawyers will help delegates understand what is happening now around technology and what it means for the sector.

Breakout sessions

In the morning and afternoon we have our acclaimed breakout sessions where delegates get to have their say in sessions that match their interests. The overall theme this year is about learning from delivery in the past and topics include:
  • Resilient Infrastructure
  • Implementing mega projects
  • Places and Streets
  • Planning sustainable developments
  • BIM
Hear the views from a range of experts on what they’ve learnt from the past that’s helping them now and have your say.

Finally

Add in plenty of time during the day to speak to our exhibitors, network with colleagues and new contacts, together with a key summary to round things off and a drinks reception, the CIHT Annual Conference 2017 will be a day well spent.
