The Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) welcome the release of two new publications intended to aid and challenge transport professionals in developing the UK's infrastructure. The particular focus on the role of transport in driving growth and productivity highlights the importance of our member's work.
The first publication is the Transport Infrastructure Efficiency Strategy (TIES) which outlines the key challenges the sector faces in improving transport infrastructure efficiency and creating better outcomes for transport users. The report was jointly produced by Crossrail, Highways England, HS2 Ltd, Network Rail, Transport for London and Department for Transport.

The second is the wide ranging Transforming Infrastructure Performance report which provides an integrated change programme with sections discussing better benchmarking, integration, procurement, and smarter infrastructure. To read the report click here.
Both reports focuses on solving the long term systemic issues that limit the capabilities of UK Infrastructure. CIHT will continue to support our members through ongoing professional development to ensure that the UK has the skilled workforce required.
