The World Road Association (WRA) of the United Kingdom (UK) is a separate, but affiliated organisation, representing the interests of the World Road Association (previously known as PIARC) in the UK.
There are currently around 100 members, made up of individuals and organisation from across the road transport sector. These include the UK government,
the construction industry, local highway authorities, research institutions and retired professionals. Common to all members is an interest in roads or road transport.
One of the principal roles of the WRA UK is to disseminate information from
the international organisation to the UK. It also supports developing countries by sharing UK expertise and supporting attendance at international committees.
