Supporting candidates

Employers can benefit from having staff with the TPP Qualification. But, in order that candidates are successful in their application they will often need the support of their employer.

Support from employers can be given in several ways:
  1. Allowing time off for candidates to prepare their Portfolio

  2. Covering the fees required for the TPP Qualification

  3. Providing a mentor (or mentors) for candidates to guide them through the TPP process including advising candidates on their Portfolio and Professional Review interview

  4. Encouraging staff to join the CIHT and/or TPS and paying the fees

  5. Ensuring staff undertake appropriate CPD and authenticating their records

  6. Registering for a licence for the Professional Development Scheme for transport planners

Achieving the TPP qualification requires a significant level of commitment by candidates and employer support is extremely valuable to them.
