Assessors consider the Portfolio of Technical Knowledge and Technical Report submissions to establish whether the TPP knowledge requirements have been achieved. Assessors are senior practitioners and academics within the field of transport planning. In order to do this role they must also undertake TPP training.
Portfolios of Technical Knowledge and Technical Reports will be considered by two assessors.
Reviewers carry out the Professional Review interview. They are senior transport planning practitioners who have undergone training in reviewing for the TPP qualification.
Mentors advise candidates on the content and subject matter of submissions in addition to providing challenges to the report and commenting on final drafts of the synopsis or report. Mentors also play an important part in helping candidates to prepare for the Professional Review interview and authenticating CPD records.
The mentor must not contribute to the content of the report nor will the mentor be involved in the assessment process
A candidate may have more than one mentor. This is especially helpful if one mentor specialises in a particular area of transport planning.
