Oxfordshire County Council have responsibility for 2784 km of highways - in the last year, we delivered £30m of transport improvements and over the next five years, we plan to deliver highway infrastructure projects valued up to £80m per year. We’ve successfully bid for government funding worth around £500m, with more bids in the pipeline – it really is an exciting time to be joining Oxfordshire County Council.
About the role
To deliver our projects and move forward with valuable decisions, we’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to act as an expert within ECC NEC contract management, programme and budget management, contract design approvals, early contract involvement and procurement.
You will provide construction and contract management of a variety of major transport projects across the County. This will involve working closely with the site management team of Site Supervisors, Quantity Surveyors, contractors, stakeholders and design teams to deliver quality and value for money.
This full-time role is 37 hours per week and we have always been big advocates of agile working. Due to the nature of this role, it is offered on a combined home-based basis (2 days per week), along with multi-site visits for the remainder of the week (which have office space on-site too).
