CIHT Annual Luncheon 2017 raises over £9500 for charity foundation
On Friday 8 December 2017, over 1,800 guests gathered at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London for the 68th CIHT Annual Luncheon. The Annual event is a prestigious networking and social event that celebrates the work of the highways and transportation sector.
The sell-out Annual Luncheon was a great success with speeches from CIHT President, Andreas Markides, and CIHT Chief Executive, Sue Percy, plus guest speakers’ Dr David Quarmby, Director General for Roads, Motoring and Devolution in the Department for Transport and Robin Ince, comedian and podcast host. David Quarmby, CIHT Fellow was also awarded the esteemed CIHT Institution Award at the Annual Lunch.
CIHT would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Annual Luncheon guests who generously contributed over £9500 to the CIHT Foundation charity collection. This figure is set to increase with gift aid donations.
The focus of the CIHT Foundation is on educational or innovative proposals that advance the art and science of highways and transportation. You can read more about the work of the Foundation here.
