Joining CIHT

CIHT brings together professionals who build, maintain, operate, design and plan transportation networks, particularly roads. Members can be found working in contracting, supply, consultancy, local government, central government and academia – what they all have in common is a desire to meet society’s need for sustainable and safe transportation systems and for protecting the environment.

Whether you are a student or a company director, CIHT has a place for you and a commitment to fulfilling your professional development needs throughout your career.

How to join

To become a member of CIHT you must complete the appropriate application form that can be found on these pages. In order to determine the level of membership that you are eligible to apply for, please view our membership grades section.
 
 
In order to complete your application, you will require:
 
  • a current CV
  • an organisation chart
  • certified copies of educational certificates

If you are having difficulty finding a Proposer and/or Seconder, please contact CIHT and we will arrange for a member of your regional branch to consider and sign the application.

Direct Debit Paying Members benefit from an annual saving of £15.00 per year

What happens next?
Your form will be acknowledged within three working days. You will normally be notified of the results of your application within four to six weeks.
