CIHT Updated Approved Training Provider Scheme

CIHT have improved the way we badge external CPD courses, conferences, and events. We are offering all training providers delivering sector relevant training, the opportunity to apply to gain an ‘Approved for CPD by CIHT badge’ for their face-to-face CPD courses, conferences, and events. Providers must first apply to be recognised as a ‘CIHT Approved Training Provider’, but once recognised, providers will be given the opportunity obtain a badge for each of their individual face-to-face CPD activities.

What are the Benefits of being an Approved Training Provider?

Becoming an Approved Training Provider (ATP) and gaining an ‘Approved for CPD by CIHT badge’ for your face-to-face CPD courses, conferences, and events, demonstrates to people that your face-to-face CPD activities are a source of high quality CPD for highways and transportation professionals. Being an ATP also carries many benefits, including:

  • Listing on CIHT website.
  • One face-to-face course approval included.
  • Approved Training Provider logo.
  • Opportunity to work with us on CIHT Learn courses.
  • Recognition for your organisations training as an industry benchmark.
  • The value of being associated with the UKs leading highways and transportation institution.

 

Benefits to CIHT Members

The CIHT Approved Training Provider (ATP) scheme enables CIHT Members and other highways and transportation professionals the ability to identify, access and undertake appropriate training courses that fulfil our criteria and standards. Being an ATP is a mark of quality that the Institution awards to providers who meet the CIHT standards for training content and delivery.

 

Next steps

1.       If you are a training provider who delivers high quality, face-to-face, sector relevant training courses, conferences and or CPD events for highways and transportation professionals, please use this Provider Application Form to apply to become a CIHT Approved Training Provider.

2.       Once approved, you can then apply for an ‘Approved for CPD by CIHT badge’ for your individual face-to-face activities. Please use this Individual Course Application Form to apply.

3.       Once completed, please submit your application forms to: professionaldevelopment@ciht.org.uk

 

 

Fees

Approved Training Providers need to pay an annual approval fee which includes the approval of one face-to-face course/conference or event. Additional courses would be approved for a fee, which would be different for not-for profit and commercial organisations. Please see our ATP webpage for more information on fees.
