This timely publication reminds us all of the importance of focusing on being clear on the outcomes we are seeking to achieve and then ensuring that our investment proposals deliver on that ambition.

Reaction to its publication has been extremely positive, attracting considerable attention from within the corridors of Whitehall. Today I met up with its author – Lynda Addison – to begin exploring how we might reflect its principles as a core element of the detailed Transport Strategy for England’s Economic Heartland.
