Welcome to CIHT West Midlands

On Thursday 19th March 2015 the West Midlands Branch became CIHT West Midlands. The region covers the areas of Staffordshire, Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, Stoke-on-Trent, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and West Midlands. At the heart of the country with a rich industrial heritage, we have boundaries with six CIHT Regions. CIHT West Midlands has over 1000 members. The region attracts a lot of support for the regional committee and is well represented on CIHT’s Council and very involved with the work of the Council’s Boards.

CIHT West Midlands Committee News 2021

The CIHT West Midlands Committee held their 2021 Annual General Meeting on 27th May 2021.

Whilst the majority of roles on the committee were filled for the 2021-22 year, there is still an officer role available on the committee, which is:

Web/Communications Officer (1 vacancy): As part of this role, some of your duties include working with CIHT's Regional Engagement Officer on the region's webpages to facilitate increased engagement with members locally, working with the Regional Events Officer to ensure they have the details to be able to upload events onto the CIHT Events webpages, promoting regional activity through social media and liaising with BW regarding member mail outs by email to promote regional news and events.

We are happy to discuss the committee role and answer any questions you might have.  If you would like to put yourself forward for this role or discuss it further, please contact us at: westmidlands@ciht.org.uk

There are lots of benefits of getting involved; CIHT’s regions and nations play a critical role for the Institution, acting as a focal point for members to meet and share their experiences locally. The regions and nations organise an annual programme of activities, which include CPD opportunities, seminars, site visits and social events

We would love to hear from you.
