Sue Percy, Chief Executive, CBE

Sue Percy is Chief Executive of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation.

Sue was a member of the UK Government’s Department of Transport’s Highways Efficiency Maintenance Programme Strategic Steering Group; sits on Highways England’s Supplier Diversity Forum Steering Group and is a member of London South Bank University Court. 

Sue is a former chair of University College London’s Transport Institute and holds several voluntary and non-executive Director roles. Sue has worked in the built environment sector for over 30 years in allied professions, Higher Education and in local government.

Sue was awarded a CBE in the Queen’s birthday honours in June 2019 for Services to Transport.

Sue has led the CIHT for the past 7 years over which time the Institution has grown in membership numbers, reach and influence. Sue holds several voluntary and non-executive Director roles and has worked in the built environment sector for over 25 years. In 2019, Sue was awarded a CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in recognition for services to transport.
