CIHT is a registered charity, and membership organisation based near Old Street Station in London. We represent circa 14,000 people who work in the highways and transportation sector.
CIHT wish to appoint a highly efficient and capable executive officer. The primary focus of the role will be to provide high level administrative and executive support to the CIHT Council and Strategic Boards and to maintain records and systems in support of governance and compliance with regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Director of Corporate & Business Services, you will work closely with members of the Council and Boards, directors and staff at all levels and be in direct contact with external regulatory bodies.
The successful candidate will have outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills and have the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. They will need to combine professionalism with good humour and a proactive approach. The role is ideal for individuals with previous governance experience but equally is an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking to develop their career in an area that sits at the heart of any charity’s work.
To be suitable for this position, you must possess excellent writing and IT skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. You will be educated to degree level. Experience of working in a regulated environment would be an advantage, but is not essential.
