Why you must do this course

According to the World Health Organisation, more than 55 million people live with dementia worldwide and every year, there are nearly 10 million new cases.

As stated by the Alzheimer’s Society 1 in 3 people born in the UK today will be diagnosed with dementia in their lifetime

Therefore, this is an ever-growing issue and one that will not go away.  You and your organisation needs to get up to speed and upskill your teams as a matter of urgency.

The course will challenge common assumptions, offer valuable insight, and provide ideas that support more inclusive journeys for everyone.

New Guidance known as PAS 6463 – ‘Design for the Mind’ from the UK national standards body BSI, was a welcome development and an important step that guided the built environment on how to accommodate people's needs. This course provides a vital piece of learning that will support understanding of this important subject and help to enable change.
