100 Years of Excellence in Transport - 20 Sept 2012
Join us on the 20th September 2012, to celebrate 100 years of transport excellence in the North East.
The date marks 40 years since the formation of the Transport Research Operations Group (TORG) at Newcastle University and 60 years since the formation of the North Eastern Branch of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation.
As part of our joint celebrations we will be hosting a free afternoon seminar in the Devonshire Building at Newcastle University. The Seminar will review the achievements and look into the challenges transport may face in the future. This will include speakers, an interactive exhibition and demonstrations.
On the evening of the 20th September we will welcome Steve Norris, President, ITS (UK), as our speaker to a celebratory 3 course Dinner to be held at Newcastle Civic Centre.
A welcome reception will start at 6.30pm, dress code lounge suits.
