Professor Mike McDonald, Professor of Transportation Engineering, Transport Research Group from the University of Southampton, has had a major role in co-ordinating the evaluation of the CIVITAS projects. The CIVITAS Initiative helps cities to achieve a more sustainable, clean and energy efficient urban transport system by implementing and evaluating an ambitious, integrated set of technology and policy based measures.
Mike will present an overview of what has been achieved, the latest research results and his personal views on the value of programmes of this nature.
