Subject: 'Transport planning in the next 20 years'
Speaker: Chris Rooney
Chris Rooney is a Director of Arup and leads the Transport Consulting practice in London. Chris has extensive experience of delivering integrated transport projects for private and public sector Clients in the UK and overseas supporting design development and planning applications. Chris led many of these all mode Transport Assessments for major rail interchanges, stadia, health facilities, and commercial developments. In recent years Chris has led the Arup Transport planning advice for High Speed 2 at Euston Station; advised the Olympic Delivery Authority for the London 2012 Olympic Games Park planning applications for the Olympic Park at Stratford; delivery of Legacy across the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park; and advised the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy on transport planning for the 2022 Doha world cup.
Chris will lead a varied talk on what issues and priorities Transport Planners will need to consider in the next 20 years.
The session will be used to generate discussion between members on what they think these issues and priorities are.
