This presentation will give a brief description of the Auckland system, the challenges and how this piece of work is a change from the previous approach of using Programme Business Cases. It will cover some of the new approach, new expectation on outcomes / outputs and some lessons learnt, given there will be more strategic transport plans across NZ being developed over time.

Andrew Foy - Technical Director, Mott MacDonald Andrew is a transport planner with 30 years’ experience in delivering transport planning, traffic engineering, strategy development, transport and traffic modelling, design and operations in New Zealand and Australia. As Transport Planning lead for the Auckland Motorway Strategic Plan, he helped shape and develop the long term direction and strategic approach to provide for long term growth of demand on the motorway network. |
