Join us for an insightful lunchtime webinar with Louis Worthington and Rachael Steller from the Climate Change Committee (CCC), as we explore the key findings for transport in the CCC’s independent advice to Government on the 4th Climate Change Risk Assessment.
The Climate Change Committee (CCC) and the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) are pleased to invite you to a briefing on the key findings for transport in the CCC’s independent advice to Government on the 4th Climate Change Risk Assessment. This report sets out recommendations on solutions for the most urgent climate risks, along with recommended adaptation objectives and targets.
The briefing will be led by Louis Worthington, Infrastructure Team Leader, and Rachael Steller, Resilient Infrastructure Lead Analyst, at the CCC. Attendees will have the opportunity to pose questions to the CCC and to discuss the report’s findings.
By the end of the session, you’ll understand:
Louis Worthington leads the Climate Change Committee's Infrastructure team, covering analysis and policy work on the decarbonisation of transport, industry and waste, as well as infrastructure resilience. He has been at the Committee since 2020, working across a variety of roles. Prior to the CCC, Louis worked in Government on nuclear power and international climate change. He has a degree in Civil Engineering and previous experience in transport planning.
Rachael Steller is the Resilient Infrastructure Lead Analyst at the CCC. She leads the team’s analysis of the water and wastewater, digital and telecoms, energy, transport, and waste sectors for Adaptation Progress Reports and Climate Change Risk Assessments. Before joining the CCC, Rachael was an adaptation consultant supporting national and local governments, businesses, and communities around the world to develop climate change risk assessments and adaptation action plans.
