Overview

The webinar will be focused on sharing experiences working on the structural refurbishment scheme to Avers Interchange bridges in Redruth, Cornwall, which included the following Works:

• Renewing life expired elements including concrete deck repairs, waterproofing, joint replacement
• Provide safety improvements for road users and pedestrians including improved deck drainage, new pedestrian footways and carriageway surfacing
• Better understand asset condition through target intrusive Post-tensioned special inspections

Ryan Calleja was the Design Team Lead during the handover and construction phase of the project and will be sharing useful experiences and lessons from the project.

Ryan Calleja - Design Team Leader, Amey Ryan Calleja, a Design Team Leader with Amey working in the structures team in Exeter with 10+ years of experience working on various structures schemes for National Highways, Network Rail and Local Authorities. Ryan is a Chartered Engineer with the ICE.
