Our next event will be a joint presentation with the ICE Norfolk Branch and is titled "A47 Strategic Route Gateway to Growth", and the speakers will be David Cumming, Principal Infrastructure and Economic Planner, Norfolk County Council, & Charles Ferrar, Commission Director, Mouchel.
Dualling the A47 from Peterborough to Great Yarmouth would be a game changer in terms of growth in the region. With an estimated cost of over £1bn the scale of the challenge is definitely daunting, but the creation of an alliance between the many stakeholders is proving that anything is possible. £350m has been earmarked for the A47 in this year’s Autumn statement.
This talk will offer an insight to the secrets of the Alliance success, as well as an insight into the sort of projects you can expect to see on the A47 in the next few years.
