The Doncaster Park and Ride sites opened up to the public on 1st September 2008 and have been designed as part of the A638 Quality Bus Corridor (QBC) scheme. The QBC scheme implemented a package of measures to provide people travelling into the centre of Doncaster with an attractive alternative to car usage. The meeting will briefly outline the initial need for such a scheme, the objectives set and how funding was obtained, and then move onto the development of the park and ride sites into a final design and construction. Finally the operation of the Park and Ride site will be discussed.
