Gillbent Road is the first LTN 1/20 compliant Sparrow Crossing designed and constructed in the UK. Andy Oates, Technical Director, Pell Fischmann, will discuss this first of its kind scheme along with experience of delivering Active Travel schemes across the North West, including the key challenges, issues and application of LTN1/20 standards.

Who is the event for?

This webinar is aimed at people with an interest in transport planning and particularly Active Travel.

Speaker

Andy Oates, Technical Director, Pell Fischmann
Andy is a Transport Planner with over 22-years’ experience and the leads the Pell Frischmann Transport Planning team in the North West region, based in Manchester. His experience covers all aspects of transport planning and traffic engineering, working for both public and private sector clients.

More recently Andy’s experienced has focused on Active Travel scheme delivery. He is the Active Travel Technical Champion at Pell Frischmann and has developed the Manchester office as the centre of excellence for Active Travel.

Andy is currently leading and involved in some of the largest Active Travel commissions in the North-West for Bury and Cumbria Councils.
