As part of the AGM, new committee members will be elected and existing members re-elected.
If you have a desire and interest to get more involved with the region, to serve on the committee and be a part of decisions such as technical meeting events, Young Professional Group etc., please contact eastmidlands@ciht.org.uk
Following on from the AGM the Young Professionals Presentation Competition will be held.
All you need, is to be in the FIRST 10 years of you career at the time of the competition, provide and present a 10min power point presentation on a Transportation or Highways topic OF YOUR CHOICE! There will then be up to 5mins of Q&A afterwards.
There are 6 places up for grabs in this year’s competition so let the region secretary know of your interest at the following address: eastmidlands@ciht.org.uk it will be on a first come first served basis and a waiting list will be started in the event a participant cancels.
The Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT), in partnership with Colas Ltd, are once again inviting CIHT members to enter the Presentation Awards. The winner from each region will have the opportunity to win a £50 multi store gift card as well as the chance to represent their region in the national final in London.
The CIHT Colas Presentation Awards is a competition designed to recognise young professionals of CIHT and to encourage them to develop their communication and presentation skills. The ability to make an effective presentation and field questions from industry professionals is recognised as a key skill for those working in highways and transportation.
This Award gives young people a chance to gain that practice by providing them with the opportunity to put together a presentation on an industry related topic of their choice and to present it to a professional audience.
