The Central and Southern Scotland Branch is happy to offer you the chance to visit the Airdrie to Bathgate Rail Link project on 13 July 2010. The project, moving into its final year of construction, will provide a direct link to Glasgow and Edinburgh for towns like Caldercruix, Blackridge and Armadale.
The visit will take advantage of 4x4s to access points of interest including structures, track bed and stations. Depending on progress you may also be fortunate enough to see the rail laying train which can install up to 2000m of rail track per day.
We would like to welcome both members and non members alike to this event.
