GoToWebinar: This webinar will focus on CIHT Membership, including both the process of becoming a member of CIHT as well as highlighting benefits for those who are already members and how to get involved. The event is organised by the CIHT East Midlands Committee but all the information provided will be applicable to all regions.
Ever wondered how you can become a CIHT Member? Or are you already a CIHT member but have questions about how you can get involved? Then start your journey today!
This session will give you an overview of CIHT Membership including how to become a member and the benefits of membership.
The event is organised by the CIHT East Midlands Committee but all the information provided will be applicable to all regions.
Dr Federico Perrotta, Young Professionals Chair for the CIHT East Midlands committee, will start the session introducing CIHT and the East Midlands Committee.
Then David Mead, Membership & Services Manager at CIHT, will give a presentation about the process and benefits of joining CIHT as a member.
Members of the CIHT East Midlands committee will also join the conversation and give their perspective about why they joined CIHT and the impact that being a member of CIHT East Midlands committee has had on their careers.
Finally, we will have a pre-recorded presentation from Deborah Sims, the new CIHT President. Deborah will give attendees insights about why she decided to join CIHT in the first place and how her career benefitted from being an active member of CIHT through the years. Deborah will also highlight how members can get involved and her hopes for the future.
A Q&A session will conclude the event and give everyone the chance to ask questions.
This is also a great event for networking, socialising, and meeting some local committee volunteers. We hope you can join us.
(This will be Part 1 of our two-part Membership Series. Part 2 will focus on further professional development, including the routes to professional qualifications.)
All members and non-members of CIHT are welcome to join. This might be a great opportunity to expand your professional network. We recommend highways and transportation related companies to encourage their employees to join.
